MESSAGE FROM THE CALIFORNIA REGION 19 DIRECTOR Covering Assembly Districts 42, 56, 67, and 71

“People, Get Ready!”

Many of you have been wondering what you can do about the waste-of-time Recall Election now scheduled for September 14th. The following will give you some dates to mark on your calendars so that you can “DO something!”

Wednesday, July 22 The Riverside County Democratic Party is scheduled to receive phone lists, text lists and addresses for writing postcards in support of the Governor.

Friday, July 23 The lists (phone, text, postcard addresses) will be available for pickup at Democratic Headquarters of the Desert. The office will be open from 10 am to 2 pm on Friday, July 23 and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, July 24th.

Saturday, July 24 This will be the California Democratic Party “Day of Action”. The understanding is that this will be a ‘knock-on-doors’ action and, due to the heat in our region, this may be difficult for participants. If additional guidance becomes available, we will keep you informed.

Sunday, July 25 The Riverside County Democratic Party, in conjunction with the Democratic Headquarters of the Desert, will conduct a “Zoom Rally” beginning at 1 pm, followed by a phone bank conducted from the comfort of your (cool) home, utilizing the phone lists provided to you. The phone bank will take place until at least 3 pm. Following the phone bank, Region 19 Director Elle K. will conduct a Zoom meeting beginning at 4 pm and ending at 5 pm. Monday, July 26 The Democratic Headquarters of the Desert will begin the postcard campaign. Postcards will be provided with script and addresses, by the DHQ office.
