One in five women in the U.S. has visited a Planned Parenthood health center at least once in her life, and Planned Parenthood is a critical resource for women in the fight to detect breast cancer early. Nearly 90% of patients at the organization’s local health centers in Rancho Mirage and Coachella are under age 40, and for these women, clinical breast exams are key to early detection. All funds raised at the film festival help ensure that Planned Parenthood is able to develop and expand health care services while addressing barriers to care.
