Democrats of the Desert joined together to hear Assemblyman for the 56th District Eduardo Garcia speak about Valley Democratic issues during its annual summer Ice Cream social.

The Assemblyman shared news on the Salton Sea progress, news from his trip to Paris for the recent G_20 summit on Climate Change, the status of the proposed new CSU campus and the work that will need to be done to help farm workers receive pay for overtime. Democrats of the Desert also send congratulations to Jackie Lopez who will be running for Indio City Council.
