VOTER REGISTRATION TRAINING At our April 22 meeting a number of people signed up for a training workshop that will occur on Monday, May 1and we have room for more. Last night Local Democrats met with Congressman Raul Ruiz and the Congressman from Maryland Steny Hamilton Hoyer at the Gubman home in Palm Springs. Dr. Raul Ruiz encouraged democrats to keep fighting and to be vigilant about the pressure from the GOP side aiming to keep the Valley Red. Christine Pelosi Inspires Local Democrats

On March 30th local democrats gathered at the beautiful Palm Springs home of Eileen and Marv Stern to listen to Christine Pelosi speak. The Sterns provided delicious and abundant refreshments for their guests in their beautiful home. Democrats of the Desert were honored to be asked to be the co-hosts for the event. In speaking Ms. Pelosi encouraged democrats to resist the Healthcare repeal, contact representatives in Congress to tell them to keep their eyes on regulatory issues.
